Return Policy

We take utmost care in packaging and delivering our products. However, if you receive a damaged or defective item, we are here to help.

Eligibility for Return

A return is applicable only under the following conditions:

  • The item received is damaged during transit, or

  • The item has a manufacturing defect

Reporting Timeline

  • Any damaged or defective item must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Complaints reported after 48 hours will not be eligible for return or refund.

How to Report a Return

To initiate a return request, please email us at [your official email address] with:

  • Order number

  • Clear images and/or videos of the damaged or defective product

  • Description of the issue

Our team will review the request and respond within 2–4 business days.

Return Shipping Cost

  • If the product is found to be defective or damaged, no return cost will be borne by the customer.

  • We will arrange reverse pickup or provide return instructions as applicable.

Non-Returnable Items

Returns will not be accepted for:

  • Minor color or texture variations (as products may slightly vary due to lighting, screen resolution, or handcrafted nature)

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage caused due to mishandling after delivery

  • Issues reported after 48 hours of delivery


Refund Policy

Refund Process

  • Once the returned product is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding approval or rejection of the refund.

  • If approved, the refund will be processed within 7–10 business days.

Refund Method

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

  • In case of Cash on Delivery (if applicable), refunds will be processed via bank transfer after collecting necessary details.

Replacement Option

  • In certain cases, we may offer a replacement instead of a refund, depending on product availability and customer preference.


Important Notes

  • As many of our products are handcrafted or made-to-order, slight variations in color, grain, texture, or finish are natural and are not considered defects.

  • We reserve the right to reject any return or refund request if it does not meet the policy criteria.

Warranties:

The product comes with a 1-year warranty which covers manufacturing defects, inherent termite and borer issues.

This limited warranty does not apply to:

  • Small cuts, scratches or damage during the cleaning process
  • Damaged caused by the incorrect installation of a product
  • Cracks during the random displacement
  • Product kept in contact to direct sunlight and water, resulting in decaying of wood
  • With time solid woods are encountered by minor cracks, called as checks, which are not included in faults and warranty as these checks do not hamper the life of a product.
  • As per the industry standards, unevenness up to 5 mm can happen because of the difference in surfaces and floor levels. In that case, there is not a warranty.
  • There is no warranty on upholstery/ coverings/ cushion covers.
  • In deco and primer the normal scratches and damp should be accepted. Since we use genuine wood and wood has the nature of releases moisture so it bound to happen in some cases. So it does not come under warranty.

Delivery:

  • Our support and delivery team will be in coordination with you for a hassle-free installation process.
  • Our delivery partner shall only deliver the product to the ground floor in the absence of a service lift in your apartment. (if applicable)
  • Once the order has reached your nearest delivery centre and you fail to receive the products, we would hold the products for 10 days, after this time line, SONIART shall be free to charge for holding the products for longer.

Custom made Orders:

These special-order items are made to your individual specifications; therefore, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. We require a 100% deposit for all Additional Color, Additional Frame and Custom order merchandise. Once you place your order for Additional Color, Additional Frame or Custom merchandise, you have 24 hours to change or cancel. After 24 hours, deposit is nonrefundable. The 24-hour time frame begins as soon as you place your order and confirm your fabric selection in a store or online. For Personalization orders, the full amount is required at time of order; personalized items cannot be returned, exchanged or cancelled at any time and are nonrefundable.
